AirMedia unable to run on macOS Sequoia 15.4.1
Identified - OIT is aware of an incompatibility between macOS Sequoia version 15.4.1 and AirMedia software. Crestron, the software vendor, has acknowledged the issue and confirmed that the problem is resolved by upgrading to macOS 15.5. OIT is working towards expediting the rollout of macOS Sequoia to 15.5 starting Monday, May 19.

Monitoring - The recent email regarding enrollment in a Brown Pre-College online course is legitimate and was sent from a trusted Brown University email account. However, it was distributed in error to a much broader group than intended, including individuals who are not currently enrolled or affiliated with our Pre-College programs.

This message is not phishing and is not a security incident or indicative of an identity compromise. You do not need to take any action or respond to the message.

We apologize for the confusion this may have caused, and we appreciate your diligence in verifying the message’s legitimacy.

OIT Planned Maintenance: Upgrade to Cognos Analytics

Scheduled - Starting Sunday, 5/4/2025 at 6:00 AM, OIT will upgrade the Cognos Analytics Production environment. We anticipate the system will be back up and operational by 4:00 PM on Sunday.

While the upgrade is taking place, Cognos Analytics Production will be unavailable or unstable and you should not log in.

Reports that are running when Cognos Analytics goes offline at 6:00 AM will fail. Reports scheduled to run during the upgrade may fail or not run at all. You should plan to review your scheduled reports and be prepared to rerun them manually after the upgrade.

Cognos users should watch for an email from the Business Intelligence Team after the upgrade.
