Monitoring - A recent Google Chrome update (version 150.x) has introduced a compatibility issue with Cognos Analytics.
Impacted Scenarios in Chrome:
Running Reports—When running a report interactively and using the output toolbar to re-run the report or change format (e.g., clicking "Run" or "Select a format" then PDF, Excel, HTML), an error may occur. You can close the report and re-run it in your desired format or use Firefox as a temporary workaround.
Authoring Reports—Creating or modifying reports will result in an error. Use Firefox as a temporary workaround.
NOTE: Users may experience the same errors in Edge since it also uses the Chromium codebase.

Starting Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 6:30 AM, OIT will upgrade the Cognos Analytics Production environment. We anticipate the system will be back up and operational by 7:30 AM on Tuesday.
While the upgrade is taking place, Cognos Analytics Production will be unavailable or unstable and you should not log in. Reports that are running when Cognos Analytics goes offline at 6:30 AM will fail.
Reports scheduled to run during the upgrade may fail or not run at all. You should plan to review your scheduled reports and be prepared to rerun them manually after the upgrade.
Cognos users should watch for an email from the Business Intelligence Team after the upgrade.

Update -
Users on macOS are prompted for authentication for every MyPrint print job when running macOS 26.4 or later, 15.7.5 or later, 14.8.5 or later. Selecting the option to "Remember this password in my keychain" does not work. Print jobs are successfully submitted when a user re-enters their Brown username and password for each job. OIT's print vendor has acknowledged the issue, and is working with Apple on a resolution in a future Apple security update.
